Case Tracking System - helping victims of child abuse

Houston's Children's Assessment Center provides crucial co-housing, investigation, medical services, and clinical services for victims of child abuse.  They realized a need for a method that would enable them to track and document the services they provide and would include many different entry points and search points in the system. Blue Ink designed and delivered a web-based case tracking system that allows the Assessment Center to document the variety of services they provide on a case-by-case basis.  Since there existed no off-the-shelf products that met the Assessment Center’s strict requirements, Blue Ink designed a custom solution through interviews, design meetings, and strategic planning.  The final product met these strict requirements for specific features, confidentiality ability, reporting ability, and security elements that were set out by the CAC.  The solution included a multi-tier, database-driven application that has worked flawlessly for over five years.
